About Frankie
With eight years of experience in the superyacht industry, I’m passionate about helping others build fulfilling careers in this field. My hospitality background has shaped my strong focus on service, ensuring positive experiences for both the crew we place and the clients we serve.

Why would you suggest working in the yachting industry?
The yachting industry has given me the chance to travel and form lifelong friendships. The bond that develops with crew members after sharing unforgettable experiences is truly special. It’s more than just work—it’s about connecting with incredible people and building relationships that last a lifetime.
What did you prefer, a private or charter program?
I was lucky to work on a busy charter yacht with an amazing crew. We formed a great team, which is why we had the privilege of seeing many of the same guests over the four years. The fast-paced season was challenging but incredibly rewarding, and it was fulfilling to give guests an amazing holiday or, in many cases, a special occasion they would never forget. The variety of guests and the strong team dynamic made it an experience that I’ll always treasure.
About Sophie
I am Head of Yachting & Senior Interior Consultant at Bespoke Crew, with over four years’ experience in yacht crew recruitment and a strong operational background from my time working onboard.
Having previously worked as a Chief Stewardess, I have a first-hand understanding of the realities of interior life at senior level; from leading teams and maintaining service standards to navigating owner expectations and onboard dynamics. This allows me to recruit with clarity, honesty, and a strong focus on long-term fit rather than short-term placement.
At Bespoke Crew, I oversee all senior interior positions (Chief Stews, Pursers, 2nd Stews, ‘Heads of’) and manage the Bespoke interior recruitment team, working closely with captains, management, and crew to ensure each placement aligns both professionally and culturally. I take pride in representing interior crew with integrity while delivering the level of discretion, detail, and service our clients expect.
My approach is people-focused and detail-driven, with a clear understanding that the success of an interior department starts with strong leadership and the right personalities in place. It’s a privilege to contribute to the careers of the remarkable individuals who make the superyacht industry so special and I love that I still get to be involved in an industry I am so passionate about.
Funniest memory whilst in Yachting?
New Year’s Eve 2020 was unforgettable! We hosted a beach “full moon” party on a tiny island off St. Vincent with a bonfire BBQ, rum punch, and a deckie DJ. At midnight, the guests insisted we join them for a celebratory swim. Following our “never say no” policy, we all ran into the Caribbean Sea, uniforms and all. The laundry aftermath was chaos, but the guests’ joy made it worth it!
Where you’ll find me at the weekend now I’m land-based?
I love nothing more than waking up early to do some housework (once a stew, always a stew), followed by a Pilates class, an oat flat white, and an evening at home cooking with my wife.
About Tash
Before swapping deck shoes for desk life, I spent six incredible years working on private and charter yachts. In 2021, I decided it was time to hang up my passport and come back down to earth, taking with me the standards, work ethic, and long-standing relationships that yachting instils.
With a strong background in hospitality, moving into recruitment felt like a natural next step. Over the following four years, I built my career in recruitment, developing a people-first, detail-driven approach while gaining a solid understanding of what it takes to place individuals into roles where they can genuinely thrive.
Combining my time on board with my newly acquired recruitment skills, moving into yacht recruitment felt like the perfect fit. In September 2024, I joined Bespoke Crew, where I successfully grew an exterior desk. During this time, I became increasingly involved with and intrigued by the land-based division, which was already gaining momentum and showing huge potential.
As the land-based side of the business grew rapidly, supporting private households, family offices, private islands, estates, waterside properties, and yacht management companies, I was given the opportunity to bring all my experience together and take the division forward. From senior household staff and operational professionals to shore-side roles within management structures, my focus is on bridging the gap between lifestyle-driven service and professional operations.
What drives me is simple: matching the right people with the right environments. Having lived the lifestyle myself, I understand what sits behind a CV, the long seasons, high expectations, absolute discretion, and the importance of cultural fit. Whether you’re building a trusted team within a private household or management company, or looking for your next step after yachting or hospitality, I’m here to make the process personal, professional, and effective.
Favourite country visited while in the industry and why?
Would have to be Sri-Lanka, it’s the most cultured country I was lucky enough to visit, we were based in the southeast for a month in between trips, so got to travel right through from Galle down to Matara which is a beautiful surf town, the locals were so friendly. We also did a big crew trip to Yala National Park which is Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife park, it was incredible.
Funniest memory?
Performing Spice Girls “Wanna B” with the Interior Crew for a New Years Got Talent Special. I was Mel B and had to perform the whole rap chorus on my own in front of the whole charter crowd and crew.. It was as horrendous as it sounds!
About Ellie
I’m a well-established member of the Bespoke Crew team, where I’ve grown steadily in confidence, knowledge, and industry presence. I began my role focusing on junior exterior recruitment, and over time have naturally progressed to take on greater responsibility. I’m now turning my focus toward Senior Exterior and Engineering Recruitment, a step that reflects both my experience within the industry and the strong professional network I’ve built. I feel fully prepared and genuinely excited to take on this next phase of my career.
My yachting journey began in the warm waters of Australia, in the sailing-centric town of Airlie Beach. With a deep love for the ocean and a long-held ambition to work in yachting, I was driven to prove that women are strong, capable, and valuable additions to exterior teams. My time onboard gave me a solid understanding of the realities of deck life and the high standards required to operate successfully at sea.
After my time onboard, I transitioned into a fleet management role for a sailing yacht charter company, where recruitment became a key part of my responsibilities. I was heavily involved in sourcing, assessing, and placing crew across the fleet, which allowed me to develop a practical, inside understanding of what it takes to build reliable, high-performing, long-term teams. This experience strongly shaped my approach to recruitment and continues to underpin the way I work today.
Why work in the yachting industry?
While the industry is undeniably hard work, it is incredibly rewarding. Yachting offers the opportunity to visit places most people only ever dream of seeing. Just as importantly, the friendships you build are truly priceless. My closest friends are now scattered across the globe, yet whenever we reunite it feels like no time has passed at all, they became my home when I was far away from mine.
Where you’ll find me at the weekend now I’m land-based
Since returning to land, I’ve been loving getting back into horse riding. I’ve owned my horse since I was 15, and after many years spent away from home, it’s been incredibly special to spend time with him again. We’re both a little older and far less competitive these days, so weekends now consist of gentle rides through the beautiful New Forest.
Funniest Memory
Watching my Captain misjudge the edge of a marina walkway while guests were departing. As we were saying our goodbyes, he stepped back, slipped, and fell straight into the water, in front of the guests, the crew, and half the marina. Thankfully, he found it just as funny as we did!

I take pride in truly getting to know both clients and candidates, ensuring every placement supports long‑term success, strong team dynamics, and an elevated guest experience. Whether it’s a Spa Stew, Nurse, or Pilates Instructor, I’m passionate about guiding careers and supporting yachts in building exceptional interior teams.
Interesting facts:
I spent a couple of years as a competitive bodybuilder in the bikini division. Standing on stage, glowing a very unnatural shade of orange in front of hundreds of people, was wildly out of character for me – and yet I absolutely loved the challenge, the discipline, and the adrenaline of it all.
These days, my competitive streak has shifted to long‑distance running. I’ve completed everything from half marathons to ultra‑marathons, with my favourite race being a 50km along the Jurassic Coast where I placed 2nd. As you can probably tell I have a love for pushing my limits!
Where you’ll find me at the weekend now I’m land-based?
These days, you’ll usually find me clocking up miles along the promenade as I train for my next race, or out on long coastal walks with my Frenchie and my boyfriend. And when the miles are done, nothing beats a cosy pub, a pint of Guinness, and a Sunday roast to round off the week.
About Amy
As a new member of the team and a former yachtie, spending around five years employed on private and charter motor yachts, I experienced first-hand the reality of long days, high standards and close-knit crew life. Working as a stewardess, including in a dual stew/deck role, and supporting high-profile owners both at sea and ashore, I learnt how important personality fit is, not just experience.
Since leaving life at sea, I’ve enjoyed developing my administration skills and consider my new role as Exterior Recruiter the perfect opportunity to utilise these skills whilst remaining connected to the industry.
Alongside yachting, I worked as an assistant to the House Manager of private residences in New York and Miami, supporting daily operations in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, including events and household management. I loved the diverse opportunities afforded to me as a result of my service on yachts, allowing me to grow both professionally and personally in a different setting.
Yachting has given me incredible opportunities to travel, grow, and meet amazing people. It’s demanding but extremely rewarding.
Where you’ll find me at the weekend now, I’m land-based
Outside of work, I love long beach walks and Pilates. I’m always keen to try new restaurants with family and friends, as well as going to the gym, whether it’s to work out, play padel or go for a coffee.
Favourite place I’ve travelled to
I was fortunate enough to travel on numerous occasions to the Caribbean during my time in yachting. It was incredible to experience a less fast-paced routine, resulting in ample downtime to fully appreciate so many aspects of island life, such as the culture, the people, the crystal-clear water, beach days, sunrise hikes, free diving, exploring the islands, dancing to Caribbean music, lots of rum and a truly authentic piña colada. So many happy memories made!

Having grown up in Singapore, I was fortunate to travel extensively throughout South East Asia from a young age. That early exposure to different cultures, service standards, and ways of life gave me a natural adaptability and a deep appreciation for the nuances of working with people from all over the world
My professional foundation was built over seven years in hospitality, including running my own pub and hotel. That experience taught me resilience, a relentless work ethic, and the importance of creative problem-solving. It also gave me a sharp eye for what makes someone truly excel in a guest-facing role, beyond just technical skills.
In recruitment, I’m passionate about understanding the individual behind the CV. I take pride in building strong relationships with both candidates and clients, ensuring placements are not only operationally sound but also culturally aligned. I believe the best crews are built on trust, personality fit, and shared standards — and that’s what I strive to deliver with every placement.
Interesting facts:
I have a strong creative streak. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me playing instruments or hosting a knitting group. Something that combines creativity, community, and a good catch-up all in one.
Funniest Memory:
I hosted an ABBA themed birthday party at my pub, fancy dress encouraged. Let’s just say that as soon as the karaoke started, wigs went flying and we were laughing all night long! My family, friends and local community were there, even our hotel guests joined in with the party. I’ll admit it was my best birthday to date.

Caitlin has worked alongside Bespoke Crew Recruitment for over three years, supporting the brand’s growth, positioning, and digital presence within the ultra-high-net-worth private staffing sector.
With a strong marketing background, Caitlin launched her own digital marketing business in 2020, working across a range of businesses operating within the high-net-worth environment from property and construction to travel, leisure, and yacht recruitment. Her experience across these sectors gives her a well-rounded understanding of the expectations, discretion, and strategic nuance required when communicating to UHNW audiences.
Through her consultancy, Caitlin delivers tailored marketing strategies, content creation, and brand positioning for premium service providers. Her deep understanding of the private staffing landscape and the global superyacht market makes her a seamless extension of the Bespoke Crew team.
What’s your favourite place on earth?
New York City, without question. I was lucky enough to live and work in Manhattan for four months during university, and I completely fell in love with the energy of it all, the people, the pace, and that unmistakable feeling that anything is possible. There’s something incredibly motivating about grabbing a morning coffee and bagel and stepping out into a city that feels alive with opportunity. It’s a place that continues to inspire my ambition and creativity.
Apart from marketing, what is another passion of yours?
Sustainable and timeless fashion has always been a passion of mine. I’ve always been drawn to pieces with character and longevity, from a pair of red cowboy boots I adored at five years old to investment pieces I know I’ll treasure for decades. I’m fascinated by how the narrative around craftsmanship, heritage, and pre-loved fashion has evolved into something truly aspirational. It’s given me a deep appreciation for quality, attention to detail, and enduring design, values that closely align with the world of luxury and are part of why I love working alongside the yachting and UHNW industries.

Interesting FactsI’ve always had a strong sporting background, competing in athletics for 12 years and becoming Welsh 5K Road Champion along the way. I then spent five years playing rugby, competing in both 15s and 7s. Through 7s, I had the opportunity to play for some fantastic teams, including Bath Ladies, as well as compete at the Dubai 7s — an incredible experience that combined my love of sport with my passion for travel and new experiences.

Where you’ll find me at the weekend?
At the weekend, you’ll usually find me making the most of the outdoors — discovering quirky coffee shops, exploring new forest trails, or heading to the beach with my partner and our rescue dogs. There’s usually a well-earned pub stop along the way! I’m also a keen runner and love exploring the South Coast on foot, taking in the views as I go. When the weather is on our side, I’ll be out paddleboarding and making the most of every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.
