Palma Boat Show 2026

I had absolutely no idea what to expect before heading to PIBS – my first ever boat show. I had visions of it being a bit stuffy, a bit too posh… I mean, I’m just a girl from the East Midlands. But within about 30 seconds of arriving, I realised how wrong I was. The energy, the community, the constant stream of people stopping to say hi – it was overwhelming in the best possible way.

I had two brilliant days reconnecting with clients, catching up with friends, and meeting so many crew right at the start of what’s going to be an incredible career for them. Honestly, if I could attend a boat show every week, I absolutely would.

Day 1

We kicked things off with a “walk” around the show – although it was more of a shuffle because we couldn’t get more than 10 metres without bumping into someone we knew. We then made a special trip to visit a client we’ve worked closely with. Ellie and I had both placed candidates onboard – a Sole Chef and an Engineer – so getting to see them in their new home and hear such glowing feedback was honestly the best feeling. There’s nothing quite like finding the missing piece of a yacht’s puzzle.

We also visited Sophie’s old boat, where she worked as Chief Stew, and met her former Captain. Watching the banter, the connection, and the genuine friendship still going strong
six years later was really special – and such a reminder of how unique this industry is. The relationships you build really do last.

Then came my moment: Bespoke’s collab with Yachties Run Wild – a female only running club. As someone who is running obsessed, this was my personal highlight. The turnout was amazing: greenies, chief stews, and everyone in between, all ready for a 5km run, a chat, and a post-run Hugo Spritz.

Speaking to everyone face-to-face, hearing what brought them to Palma, what inspired them to join the industry – it was honestly magic. And seeing the same faces pop up over the next few days (and still chatting to them now I’m home) made it even better.

Day 2

We started Day 2 with another event – this time a Coffee & CVs session with UKSA and Riela Yachts. It was meant to be a casual drop in… and then 55 crew turned up and packed- out Corner Bar.

The questions were brilliant, the discussions were important, and I really hope everyone left feeling more confident and better equipped to take their first steps into yachting. In the evening, we headed to the Superyacht Charities Seafarers Supper – and as always, SYC delivered. Their events are iconic for a reason.

I’ve really missed that feeling of connection – walking into a bar or an event and instantly sharing common ground with everyone there. An industry, a love for the ocean, the banter… I haven’t felt that since leaving the Navy eight years ago. Palma filled that gap completely.

I’m so grateful to be part of this industry, and the friendships and connections made over those two days will absolutely continue now I’m (sadly) back in the UK. I’m excited to get
stuck back into work, and even more excited for what’s ahead for this everevolving industry. Sharing knowledge, supporting our candidates and clients, and strengthening relationships facetoface (preferably with a glass of rosé in hand) – that’s what it’s all about.

Thank you to everyone who made Palma what it was – the post show blues are hitting hard now!
